OCR: The goose that lays golden eggs is a character in many storybooks and movies. It actually origin- ated in Greece, with a fable about a farmer's goose that lays golden eggs. The farmer decides that if he kills the goose, he can obtain all the eggs at once instead of one at a time. He figures this will make him rich.
